FRIGATES....

STRALSUND FRIGATE ~

One of the most attractive ships in the game and appealing for a captain of any class, she is a true performer and work horse for leveling, missions, fleeting PVP and as a scout for port battles. The Stralsund is avaialable at level 25 and is a large frigate. She sports a good amount of 9lb guns on her main deck and is swift and nimble. If outfitted properly her or her mastercraft version available at level 33 can carry a player all the way to level 50 if need be. Naval officers should look at snagging the turn in version called the Falcon which has slighly better armor and hull. The advantage this frigate has is in its top speed and ease of accelration and maneuverability over larger frigates. Skilled captains can use this to their advantage and often take out tougher ships over time. A definate must to try one of these.

PEREGRINE FRIGATE ~

Another personal favorite, the Peregrine can only be built from a recipe purchased in Treasure Isle. With a large hull she is a true 5th rate Naval Officer's dream swift ship but is available to all classes at level 28. She sports heavier 12lb cannons on her main deck vs the 9 lb cannon on a stralsund but gives up her stern chasers for a tad more armor on her broadsides. Until the last game update the Pergrine was built on a medium hull making her just an unbelivable performer. She now is a large hull which makes more sense and is still a fast nimble interceptor frigate that can carry a player well to level 50 if needed. Her lines are unique in they're not copied from any other ships in the game. The Peregrine is not only attractive but a nimble PVP ship that should be sought after by mid level captains as well as level 50 ones looking for a fun challenge.
