TRADE SHIPS....

SULTAN FLUTE ~
One of the fastest Huge Hull Haulers with the best all around wind performance. A popular choice among Level 50 captains even though she is a level 37 Ship. The Sultan Does not have very good armor and less guns than other Huge Merchant ships but makes up for this with her ability to accelerate and cover large spans of open ocean in less time than her bigger counterparts like the San Mateo, Oliphant and Corroune. She has a generous cargo capacity of 2200 tons and her reasonable cost to construct adds to popularity among higher level merchants. Traders using this vessel understand she should be chiefly used for trade but can defend herself. They also consider the special Free Trader trade in: the Khan Flute which is level 50 and fitted better for combat at the cost of some cargo capacity.

OLIPHANT INDIAMAN ~
One of my Personal Favorites available at level 44, the Oliphant is the best mix of large hauling capacity and combat capability. She can carry a heafty 2600 tons of cargo and has 50 guns on her 3 decks. Though for her size and number of guns she would be the equivilant of a 4th rate, she has slightly less armor and hull integrity and sports only 12 Lb guns on her bottom deck. The large cargo hold makes up for this. This ship or one similar is a must for merchant traders to have in their dock. she makes an excellent mission and fleeting Ship in addition to her hauling ability. By no means is she fast or the most maneuverable but if traders want an all around brawling work horse this would be it, or one of her variations like the Mastercraft version at level 50 or the special Free Trader turn in: the Mont Blanc with heavier guns or the special recipe Kraken are all good choices.

ATLAS BARQUE ~
A great hauler for only level 15 Traders and above, the Atlas Barque has a fairly large Hull. its drawback is she only sports 12 cannons so not much fight capability, but her 850 tons of cargo make her an excellent hauler for your low level characters. The Atlas handles decently in the wind and is relatively cheap to build. Note another drawback for this ship is if you build one for your level 15 trader he or she will not be able to fit any permenant modifications until they are of a higher level, but it is the only ship that offers a sizable cargo capacity for low level characters. This ship has a decent amount of structure and armor and would also make a good ship for low levels to follow fleeting parties to pick up extra loot.
